MCU: 10 Greatest Thor Moments

4. Fixing His Relationship With Loki - Thor: The Dark World

Dark World is often cited as the worst of the Thor films, and is even considered one of the weakest MCU movies to date. The villain is terrible, Natalie Portman isn't too strong, and Odin and Frigga are as pointless as they had been in the first film. But it's not all bad.

The saving grace is the relationship between Thor and Loki - Thor's most important relationship and one which finds itself a major part of every one of his films.

In Dark World, the two find themselves on the way to face the dark elves. En route, they yell at each other about their recent clashes and their inability to save their mother earlier in the film. The mention of Frigga causes the brothers to briefly bond, before Thor admits that he could never trust him.

Later, Loki saves Thor during their fight against the elves, but "dies" in the process, causing Loki to apologise to Thor in his final moments. It's a bittersweet moment undone once Loki is revealed to be alive in Ragnarok, but it's in that film that the two properly act on their brief reconciliation in Dark World and form a close bond.

Loki may have died for real in Infinity War, but at least he and Thor made amends before the end.
