The longer the MCU goes on and the more characters that are introduced, the bigger and crazier its crossover movies - Civil War, Infinity War, Endgame - are getting. In just three years we've gone from a dozen characters brawling in an airport to a full-on war featuring every single hero in the franchise against a Chitauri army and a mad Mad Titan, and the future almost certainly contains more huge events like this.

Brilliantly for us fans, the addition of the multiverse means that any future crossover movies have the potential to be unparalleled in their scope and scale - even crushing something as epic as the final battle in Endgame.

Just imagine the Avengers from Earth-616 teaming up with the Avengers from Earth-833 to fight an army of villains plucked from various realities? Imagine multiple different versions of Spider-Man, Captain Marvel or Black Panther joining forces with each other to defeat someone like Galactus? Imagine the X-Men and the Avengers taking on the Dark Avengers, or the Marvel Zombies popping up somewhere?

Literally any combination of heroes, villains, and universes your brain can create, the MCU can now put on the screen. What a time to be alive.
