MCU: 10 Sneaky CGI Moments You Probably Didn't Notice

7. The Quantum Realm Suits (Avengers: Endgame)

The Avengers' shiny new suits were officially unveiled in Endgame's second trailer, and the characters ended up wearing them for a good chunk of the film's second act, during their "Time Heist".

At face value, it looks like the actors were given new outfits to slap on and wear themselves, but unbelievably, that's not true. These Quantum Realm suits are fully digital creations, with the actors actually wearing their normal outfits on the set.

But why bother doing it this way? Well, at the time of filming, Marvel Studios hadn't actually decided what costumes the Avengers would be wearing during their time travel mission - all they knew was that they wanted to use some sort of special outfit. So, the actors shot their scenes in regular outfits adorned with tracking markers, and the Quantum Realm suits were added in later.

This gave the filmmakers more time to finalise the design. With the bulk of Endgame having been shot in 2017 and the movie releasing in 2019, they had over a year to figure everything out, and implement the effect.
