MCU: 10 Truly Insane Crossovers We Need To See
2. Marvel Vs. DC
Back in the 90s, Marvel and DC put aside their decades-long feud to deliver fans of both publishers an epic crossover event. The story concerned a pair of brothers from the DC and Marvel universes selecting champions from their respective rosters to decide which universe possessed the toughest heroes.
The publishing giants left it in the hands of the fans to vote on which of their favorite characters would walk away with a win. Batman fought Captain America. Superman threw down with the Hulk. Wonder Woman tussled with Storm.
Now that anything is possible in the multiverse, it's inevitable that DC an Marvel will cross paths in the cinema. DC is already setting up its own multiverse with 2022's upcoming The Flash which will see Batfleck and Michael Keaton don the cowl in the same movie.
Imagine how insane it would be if Affleck's brutal take on the Dark Knight found himself standing across the ring from Chris Evan's Captain America in a no-holds-barred slugfest where only one hero can have his hand raised?
Is it crazy to think Warner Bros and Disney would unite their most valuable IPs in a single movie or series of movies?
Well, Sony already allowed Spider-Man to sling his way through the MCU, which is all the precedent the studios need. Neither Warner Bros or Disney would pass up a chance at the buffo box office that having the most popular heroes of all-time sharing the screen will bring.
