6. When Will Shang-Chi & The Ten Rings Turn Up Next?
There are few people that could argue that Phase Four hasn’t been hit and miss. Arguably more so than ever before in the MCU. The likes of Black Widow, Eternals, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and Thor: Love and Thunder disappointed en masse, but next to Spider-Man there was one more stand out.
As a newcomer to the MCU, and one with such a problematic history in the comics, no one really knew what to expect from Shang-Chi. However, the movie and the character himself both became wildly popular to the point that fans were immediately chomping at the bit to see more of him. The same goes for his sister, Xialing, who at the end of the movie was wholly in charge of the Ten Rings organisation. Both will certainly return, but when?
It could be that Shang-Chi may not come back to screens until being brought into the Avengers in The Kang Dynasty, or potentially a Phase Six sequel, but what about the Ten Rings? Could they turn up even earlier than Shang-Chi himself?
There is a theory that suggests they will appear in Captain America: New World Order. Many fans believe Xialing’s organisation and the Power Broker to be linked, so seeing them both turn up to face Sam Wilson in Phase Five wouldn’t be the craziest thing we’ve ever seen.
