MCU: 14 Things You Learn Rewatching Guardians Of The Galaxy
8. The Third Act Battle Goes On Too Long

It's a shame that the movie, which is so different to the rest of the MCU for the most part, once again comes down to a big CGI-in-the-sky battle in its final act, with the Battle of Xandar dominating the end of the movie.
It gets away with it thanks to the risks it takes beforehand, and the fact that the ultimate showdown culminates with a dance-off (is it a dance-off if one person doesn't participate?), but the battle does start to drag after a while.
It means the movie is really longer than it needs to be at just over two hours in length, although that's a common problem within the MCU and beyond.
