3. Yahya Abdul-Mateen II (M'Baku)

Yahya Abdul-Mateen II is best known for his roles on The Get Down, Baywatch and The Greatest Showman, though his highest-profile role is on the horizon as he'll be playing the villainous Black Manta in Aquaman later this year.

Abdul-Mateen was in talks to play M'Baku in Black Panther, though, which would've led to him having a cameo appearance in Infinity War during the climactic Wakanda battle. Ultimately, virtual unknown Winstone Duke landed the part.

Would It Have Worked?: Without question. Abdul-Mateen's got the perfect combo of charm and intensity to nail the leader of the Jabari Tribe, even if Duke nevertheless did a terrific job making the character an hilarious, unexpected treat.
