Song: Plainsong Film: Ant-Man Although not included on the films album soundtrack, The Cures song Plainsong does feature in Ant-Man - the track is played through a gigantic cell phone by Apples intelligent personal assistant and knowledge navigator Siri as Ant-Man fights Yellowjacket inside a briefcase towards the end of the movie. The song opens up the bands 1989 classic album Disintegration, their eighth studio album and a return to the introspective and gloomy gothic rock that were known for before pop elements began to infiltrate their music. Frontman Robert Smith began to dislike the mainstream attention the The Cure were getting, and lapsed back into the use of hallucinogenic drugs as a result, the effects of which are clear to hear on the album.
