MCU: Every Hero Vs Hero Fight Ranked Worst To Best
3. Iron Man Vs Bucky & Captain America (Captain America: Civil War)
When Zemo saw his family killed in Sokovia, only for the Avengers to go home patting themselves on the back for a job well done, he envisioned the team crumbling. It was a quite ridiculous plan to get here, but this is everything the villain wanted. Tony Stark and Steve Rogers, already on opposite sides of the Sokovia Accords, split further apart by Bucky Barnes.
Steve defended his best friend with his life, and even though he was innocent, Cap did a poor job of actually telling people that. However, it wasn’t for the alleged bombing of the UN that saw Tony go to war with both Bucky and Steve, it was the fact that the former killed his parents and the latter knew and didn’t tell him.
Steve made a strong point, in that Bucky had no control over what he was doing, but no one in Tony’s shoes would have ever listened. This was one of the most emotionally charged fights in the entire MCU, signalling the capitulation of the Avengers themselves.
When you break it down to its rawest form, this was a man defending one best friend from another, with all three laying everything on the line. Cap left his shield behind, and it was the last Tony Stark and Steve Rogers saw of each other until Thanos had snapped his fingers.
