4. Guardians Melee (Guardians Of The Galaxy)
Before the Guardians of the Galaxy became the Guardians of the Galaxy, they were total strangers brought together by odd circumstances to say the least. Star-Lord, Nebula, Rocket, and Groot all found themselves on Xandar at the same time.
Quill was there to sell the Orb to the Broker, Gamora to steal the Orb, and Rocket and Groot on a bounty hunting mission. They found Quill, and the 40, 000 unit bounty Yondu put on his head just as he and Gamora began to fight over the Orb.
What resulted was something of a fatal four-way battle royal that saw the soon-to-be teammates beating the hell out of each other. Rocket and Groot didn’t even have an issue with Gamora, but Groot wasn’t sure who they were going after, and as they were in the way of her and Peter, she had to kick their asses.
It may be a weird way to describe a fight, but this was a lot of fun, as you’d expect from the Guardians of the Galaxy, and even though Groot wound up with his arms cut off, they still ultimately became a family.
