The Scene

The best mid-credits scene of Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol 2 is the penultimate one, which shows Peter Quill entering Groot's personal quarters on their new ship to find a teenage version of Groot playing video games and ignoring him and his please to tidy his room.

Rebuffed completely, Quill retreats, saying he knows what Yondu must have felt like now.

What It Meant

It's basically just a great gag, but it does confirm that Groot is growing at a fairly quick rate and hinting that we'll see him full-sized again in Infinity War and Guardians Vol 3 (since this film was set in 2014 and 3 years is a long time for him to grow).

It's a shame we won't get more Baby Groot, but this is a confident way to advance the character without anyone getting Minion-fever too much and going off him.
