4. Captain America: The Winter Soldier - The Twins

If there's one thing MCU post-credits sequences do better than anything, it's character debuts. It's sort of become a thing that we get new introductions after the credits role and the most complex is the one bolted onto the end of The Winter Soldier.

With the powers of the Loki's sceptre already explored in The Avengers (but not the secret of its Infinity Stone gooey centre), The Winter Soldier rolled them on even further with the introduction of HYDRA's clandestine genetic modification programme. That also meant the introduction of the twins, who were unlike anything we'd ever seen before in the MCU and who would presumably be a big deal in the Avengers future.

The success of this one is mostly just down to how great all of the characters are, and while Strucker is killed off early in Age Of Ultron, Scarlet Witch in particular would go on to be a key player in the MCU. And her brother was at the heart of Joss Whedon's most emotionally authentic moment in his Avengers films too.
