MCU Phase 4: 10 Comic Book Panels That Must Be Recreated

1. Captain Marvel Turns The Tide Against The Skrulls

As a comic, Secret Invasion isn't much to write home about. It's bloated, high on spectacle but low on substance and, worst of all, is wasteful with its premise.

With the announcement that the upcoming Captain Marvel movie will feature the Skrulls in some capacity, one would suspect that the Aliens will be featuring heavily throughout the MCU down the line. If that means Secret Invasion done right, then fans could be in for something special indeed.

Not least because the Avengers will be coming to blows with the aliens, but also due to the fact that we'll get to see Carol Danvers cut loose against them. Sure, the alien invasion angle was mined to death in the first Avengers film, but these are the Skrulls we're talking about! With Danvers set to become the MCU's most powerful hero it presents an opportunity too great to pass up, especially if they allow her to really cut loose when the invasion goes public.

We've seen moments like these in the comics time and time again, but arguably the best came in Brian Reed and Adriana Melo's Ms. Marvel Secret Invasion tie-in. Faced with overwhelming odds, Carol does what she does best and proceeds to take on the entire invasion force by herself, and it makes for a sequence unlike any other.

If both Cap and Tony are departing our screens after Infinity War, there's no one better to lead the avengers than Marvel herself. What better way to do so than by leading from the front?
