MCU Phase 4: 10 Dead Characters Who Could Return

Considering Peggy died of old age in Captain America: Civil War and was mainly active several decades before the MCU began, she’s certainly made a few appearances.

With an alternate timeline version of her and Steve Rogers living the good life, her time in the franchise may have reached its natural conclusion. However, there are a few reasons she may come back.

The version of her living with Captain America is a separate entity, and apart from returning to give Sam his shield, Rogers will be happy in his own universe. The core timeline’s Peggy though lost Steve in the ice, and she drops a subtle Easter Egg in Endgame which could allow her to return.

She mentions ‘Braddock’, hinting that Captain Britain or even the Captain Britain Corps could be entering the MCU at some point soon. Peggy may be referring to the main Captain Britain, Brian Braddock, or more likely in the 70s his father, Sir James Braddock.

If they go the Captain Marvel route and have his story as a period piece, Carter could play the role for Braddock that Fury played for Danvers.
