MCU Phase 4: How And When We'll See Mutants
2. WandaVision
But as exciting of a reveal as Colossus would be, it's more than likely that Kevin Feige has set aside Marvel's first venture into the Disney+ Original space for a true exploration of what it means to be a mutant. With everything that has already been done to bring Wanda in line with her mutant-origins, this is almost a certainty.
Rumors have also been circulating about the overall plot of the show pulling influence from the House of M comic book series. And since both Quicksilver and Magneto have important roles to play in that story arc, I wouldn't put it past Marvel to tease them by giving us a curious cameo or two.
Simply put, WandaVision looks to be focused on the reality bending powers of Wanda Maximoff, which leaves the door wide open for almost anything to happen. What we can most certainly expect though, as confirmed by the series trailers that have already been released, is that both Wanda and Vision clearly have two children arriving in their not-so-distant future.
Since Wanda has yet to give birth to Tommy and Billy, who after a confusing exposition grow up to be Speed and Wiccan, these children will likely be the first mutants we come to meet without any Fox constraints.
Maybe not the popular mutants we were expecting Marvel to dive on into, but slow and easy does it when it comes to the start of a new era.
