MCU Phase 4: Predicting Every Major Character That Will Join
7. Namor
First Appearance: Motion Picture Funnies Weekly
Of all the characters no one seems to have a clue if Marvel owns or not, Namor has to be the most perplexing.
While DC might be beating Marvel to the aquatic punch with Aquaman, Namor the Submariner was actually the first Atlantean superhero on the block. He's fought during the Second World War, led an invasion of Wakanda and has helped prevent the end of the world more times than the Avengers would care to admit.
As a mutant, Namor also bridges the gap between the X-Men and the other side of the Marvel Universe, and with James Wan's Aquaman set to usher in a tidal wave of water-themed theatrics (not really), Marvel are likely to be keeping a watchful eye.
At this stage, it looks as though we can assume that Namor is back with the House of Mouse, in which case it's likely that he's on Marvel's shortlist for a future film. As one of the company's more complex characters that also gives cause for excitement, especially if his introduction does mark the beginning of the X-Men's ascension to the MCU.
