Another phase, another Avengers film, except this one could just be crazier than the last.

None of us know how the MCU will be once Thanos has had his way with Earth's Mightiest Heroes, and while it's possible to predict the odd death or two, that still leaves us with a number of uncertainties going forward. We still don't know who will, and won't, be an Avenger after these next two films, and with a veritable treasure chest of storylines to draw from, Marvel have their work cut out for them.

Building on the threads that will, inevitably, be left behind by Captain Marvel: could the Skrulls take a primary focus in an Avengers film based on Secret Invasion? It's a possibility, but it's a difficult thing to predict when it's still unclear if the team fans have gotten used to over the last decade will even still be together by then. Add to that the prospect of new recruits, franchises and more, and you're left with an Avengers project that might just be slightly more exciting to contemplate than Infinity War.

Only slightly, but still.
