Thought you knew the Guardians of the Galaxy? Think again.

While the MCU's incarnation of the galaxy's self-proclaimed guardians are more than iconic, they're not (strictly speaking), the original team. The OG Guardians featured a younger, less conflicted Yondu in a leading role, as well as the group seen in the immediate aftermath of that character's funeral in the first Guardians sequel.

While details on this particular group of Ravagers have been kept light, we know that Yondu fought alongside them during his early years as a member of the group. Stakar Ogord (played by Sly Stallone in the film), was the leader, with the remaining spots on the team filled up by Aleta Ogord (Michelle Yeoh), who is also Stakar's wife, Martinex (Michael Rosenbaum), Charlie-27 (Ving Rhames), Mainframe (Miley Cyrus), and Krugarr. They clearly mean to reform, and with even more guardians now in the galaxy, could there be room for more than one team on the big-screen?

This group certainly have the star-power to make it work. Given that the main Guardians themselves will be approaching their third film in 2020, could Marvel be preparing to shift attention to another group of misfits?
