MCU Phase 4 Rumours: 12 New Characters Who Could Appear Next

10. Nova

In the wake of Thanos' destruction of Xandar (or at least decimation, as was more aptly quoted in the movie) and the assumed end of the Nova Corps, it's somewhat inevitable that rumours of Nova's impending appearance in the MCU would be sparked.

In the comics (or at least one version of his story), Nova is the last of the Corps whose powers and the Corps legacy are passed onto a new host. That backstory is basically already set and the fact that James Gunn wanted to bring in Nova in his Guardians movies and was unable also suggests that there may be plans for the character already.

We know Marvel are looking to the stars more in Phase 4 and beyond (even if Gunn has now left his creative over-seeing role) and Nova is the kind of name who'd easily fit a leading role in that agenda.
