Another entry from the world of Tolkien would be that of Aidan Turner, and for good reason. Rising to fame for playing the titular Poldark and Kili in The Hobbit films, Turner suits the comic book look of Wolverine to a tee.

Aidan also knows the physical demands and toll of playing such a character within some of his former roles, and similar to Armitage, is well versed in playing a starring role within high-budget films featuring beloved characters.

With the Irishman coming in at under 40 years of age, he would offer a long tenure in portraying the character with the current demographic of the MCU’s new wave of heroes coming in on the younger side, and the actor could offer youth but also experience in playing the part.

From looks alone, the 39-year-old gives off an aura of Logan and similar to Huisman and Pelphrey, he may not be the most household of names, but it would only take a short viewing of his acting catalogue to see the potential Turner could offer a character of such tremendous magnitude in Weapon X.

Long rumoured to be in the running of James Bond, the once BBC centrepiece may face an ultimatum in the future between choosing shiny cars or claws, but like his potential predecessor of Jackman, Turner could follow suit in turning down the chance to be the world’s most famous spy in favour of helming the Berserker within a new era of the MCU.
