2. Michelle Yeoh Is Completely Wasted
Summit Entertainment
The legendary Michelle Yeoh appears for a few short scenes as Mae, Bishop's pal who helps him investigate his assailants and take care of Gina after rescuing her.
All Yeoh gets to do here is offer some sage advice and make the film more appealing to Chinese audiences...and that's it. That's right, despite being renowned for her action chops, Yeoh doesn't get a single moment to fight and just stands around talking: what a hilarious, idiotic waste of a terrific action heroine.
It would've given the movie an enormous boost if we got to see her showing up out of nowhere to help Bishop out of a bind, but nope.
Stay at home dad who spends as much time teaching his kids the merits of Martin Scorsese as possible (against the missus' wishes).
