Michael J Fox: 5 Awesome Performances And 5 That Sucked
3. Stuart Little - Stuart Little 3 (2006)
Foxs vocal performance in the first Stuart Little was fine and the follow-up was even better: he was charming and recognisable enough that his persona lifted the character without him even needing to be on screen. Thats clearly exactly why he was hired. Unfortunately, after the surprising success of the second film (which cost a shocking $120 million to make thanks to the CGI), the decision was made to scrap the medium entirely and go with traditional cartoon animation. While Fox and the rest of the top billed cast remained, the material dropped significantly in quality for the direct-to-video threequel and genuine entertainment was traded in for child-targeted, light-weight mirth and morality lessons. Its an unfortunate footnote on his career that could and should have been avoided entirely.
