Ocean's Eleven
Why you'll love it: Great cast. Great story. Great direction. Great script. What else do you need? Every guy has dreamed up a heist in his head at one point in his life and Ocean's Eleven pays of our most immoral thoughts. George Clooney owns this thing and his on-screen chemistry with Brad Pitt is perfect. They play off of each other with such ease it's a pleasure to watch. Steven Soderbergh directs the hell out of this thing, keeping everything in perfect time -- nothing is wasted. Ted Griffin's script features some of the best dialog in recent film history, truly fun stuff. Everyone is in top form here.
Why mom will love it: It's a lineup of some of the most handsome men in Hollywood. Brad Pitt, you've heard of him, right? George Clooney? We could stop right there but you add in Andy Garcia, Matt Damon and Don Cheadle and it's now on handsome overload. Julia Roberts is as beautiful as ever, reminding everyone why she was dubbed, "America's Sweetheart." The secret weapon of this movie, though, is the love story buried beneath the glitz and glamour. That's the real heist. It's a story of a man trying to win his ex-wife back. The whole "real" heist is a ruse to put Clooney where he needs to be and put Andy Garcia in the frame of mind to show his true colors. In the end, Clooney gets his wife and the money and we get two sequels.
