5. A Thinker's Guide to Pornography
Summary: Harry and Oscar, with the help of various talking heads, try to work out whether Pornography is ethically right or ethically wrong.

What I Learned: This was, again, something of a watershed moment. This was an assignment for an ethics class, and brought about a very partnership- H3O Video, an outfit which produced 6 educational films ranging from charity work and Shakespeare, to Food Waste and Cookery. But this was an opportunity to hone the documentary format that had intrigued me during The Genetics Debate. And once again, it allowed me to carve out something of a signature style. My partner and I balanced the serious stuff with irreverent, awkward humour. Comedians always say to write/perform what makes you laugh, and thats exactly what we did. Though it produced mixed reactions later on, this was a sure-fire winner. In fact, we were congratulated by the Headmaster. I dont think he watched the documentary, let alone knew what it was about! But the tricky stage for me was editing the talking heads- youve got to get the important points across and set moods and tones with what is being said, and most importantly keep the audiences attention.
