2. Daniel Day-Lewis
If this is fantasy casting, lets go nuts. Insanely dedicated method actor Daniel Day-Lewis once famously stated that he hears the thoughts, feels the compulsions of the characters he plays months after hes wrapped shooting the films. As such, he takes healthy breaks between roles. If a director wanted to get into the nitty-gritty of Jim Gordons troubled life, I dont think any actor would sell the role as well as Day-Lewis. But, youd have to get him to agree to the role at first. Hes not exactly famed for taking high-earning blockbuster roles. But imagine, Daniel Day-Lewis as Jim Gordon; hed be darker than weve previously seen him, more volatile for sure. If a new director wants to do something fresh and exciting with Jim Gordon, now that pretty much everybody knows exactly who he is as a character, now might be the perfect time to go down those avenues.
