10. Dustin Hoffman
If Id have entered into this same exercise just ten or fifteen years ago, there isnt a chance in hell Hoffman would have made this list. But somethings happened as hes gotten older; hes filled out, hes started to look more distinguished. In his current form, Id say Dustin Hoffman could be as fine a Jim Gordon as anyone else. Hoffman is a veteran of Hollywood, and an absolute consummate professional. As adept at playing meek and mild mannered as he is at playing brooding and intense, with that in mind, Hoffmans Gordon could be ultimately nuanced. In Hoffman, a new director would have a great performer with which to present both the benevolent character we saw in Nolans franchise and the seething hotbed of personal issues we know Gordon to be in the comic book canon.
