5. Donald Sutherland
Sometimes, Jim Gordon is depicted to have red hair; others, usually later in his career, his hair is as white as a fresh field of snow. This is where Donald Sutherland enters frame. If a new director were inclined to take a flight from Nolans franchise, and bring us an adaptation of something like Frank Millers The Dark Knight Returns (which I think they totally should by the way), then Sutherland would be the perfect casting choice for Jim Gordon. Hes got everything; the stature, the voice, the presence, the tache. And most importantly, the ability. Hes a veteran of the industry who, if you ask me, would eat a role like Jim Gordon for breakfast. Again, my only worry here is that hed completely steal the show.
