3. The Return of Ras al Ghul
Ras al Ghul played an important role in Nolans trilogy, as he plays an important role in Batman comic book lore. Admittedly Nolan changed the character slightly, changed his relationship with Bruce Wayne, but in doing so arguably linked the two even more intrinsically than they are on paper. The thing about al Ghul is that, in the books, hes immortal, and with that in mind, Id happily accept seeing him in a reboot of the current continuity. And what would be a more convincing thing for Nolans Batman to come out of retirement for than if he learns of al Ghuls continued intention to raze his beloved Gotham City to the ground. And again, no one said anything about Liam Neeson washing his hands of the franchise (although without Nolan on board, I guess thats sort of implied). Now I know Nolans franchise took the road of realism, meaning that al Ghuls immortality factor would probably have to be toned down considerably, so that its more mysteriously gestured to than flat-out explained. But when you think about it, itd be sort of poetic.
