NowhereLand is what's Over the Hedge for Kirkpatrick

getimg.jpgOver the Hedge co-director Karey Kirkpatrick has been hired to direct the Eddie Murphy comedy NowhereLand, which we talked about way back in January. From Variety...
Murphy portrays a successful financial executive who finds his career going down the drain and discovers the answers to his problems within his daughter's imaginary world.
It would seem that the movie is going to be a silly and outrageous Murphy comedy which has so blighted his career over the last ten years. It's a real shame because I thought this movie could have worked as a great serious drama. Don't be fooled by things such as Norbit and his upcoming Starship Dave. Murphy is a fine actor, but for some reason he rarely gives himself the opportunity to showcase it.
