7. Leonardo DiCaprio & Brad Pitt's Awesome Bromance

Shocking absolutely nobody, Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt are fantastic in this movie, and their charming, weirdly sweet bromance is easily the best aspect of the entire film.

DiCaprio gives one of his strongest performances to date as Rick Dalton, a booze-loving actor staring at the downside of his career, giving the actor plenty of room to deliver a well-rounded turn that vacillates effortlessly between comedy and tragedy.

Pitt's stuntman Cliff Booth (Pitt) is meanwhile the avatar of cool that Pitt has acted out for much of his career - tremendously likeable, extremely well-tempered and freaking hilarious.

If he doesn't end up with a Best Supporting Actor nomination for his work here, it'd be shocking - and DiCaprio's a pretty safe bet for a Best Actor nod, too.

Together, they make for one of the most electric two-handers from any Tarantino movie, and their splendid performances elevate the material considerably.
