One Mind Blowing Secret From Every MCU Movie

The casting department for Marvel Studios has done a lot of heavy lifting over the years, blending a perfect mix of creating stars from complete unknowns to peppering in some of the biggest names in the history of the industry, with very few decisions that ultimately missed the mark.

In 2017, it was announced that Michelle Pfeiffer would be joining the MCU as Janet Van Dyne, and as happy as this made future audiences across the world, there were no two people happier on the planet than Evangeline Lilly and Peyton Reed.

Lilly, on an Ant-Man and the Wasp bonus feature, said that for four years she had been asking for Michelle Pfeiffer to be cast should Hope's mother ever be brought to the screen, which is nothing compared to the manifesting director Peyton Reed did.

In Ant-Man, there is a glimpse of Janet Van Dyne shown in the suit alongside Hank, where just her eyes could be seen. Though there was absolutely no way of knowing yet whether a sequel would be coming, what the story would entail, and who would be available to join, Reed, as told in his director's commentary, told the visual effects department to base the eyes on Michelle Pfeiffer, his dream casting for the role. Sometimes wishes do come true.
