One Mind Blowing Secret From Every MCU Movie

4. Deadpool In The Opening Logo - Deadpool & Wolverine

Deadpool and Wolverine
Marvel Studios

Ever since it was first introduced in 2016 with Doctor Strange, the Marvel Studios opening fanfare has become an iconic moment to kick off most MCU movies. It is always different, whether themed in some way or almost unnoticeably with new additions included.

This happened at the beginning of Deadpool & Wolverine, in a way that hadn't been done before. Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) himself was featured in the logo, something that typically isn't done for a character until their second film.

While this was technically Deadpool's threequel, it was his first under the Marvel Studios banner, and according to Ryan Reynolds on the commentary track he did with director Shawn Levy, he had to beg for the Merc with the Mouth to be included.

Since Deadpool & Wolverine, there have been three further MCU films, and none of them have featured the standard fanfare. Captain America: Brave New World omitted it altogether, Thunderbolts* had a comic book-page-inspired opening, and The Fantastic Four: First Steps changed it to better suit the aesthetic of Earth-838, so it is currently difficult to tell whether Deadpool's appearance is the new norm, or if this was a one-off.
