And finally, considering how the Best Original Song field is so often full of overwrought ballads and generic pop songs, it was fun to see something a little sillier crash the party, with Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga's "Husavik (My Hometown)" securing a nomination.

The rest of the field was pretty much exactly as you'd expect from Academy voters - yes, Diane Warren picked up her 12th nomination without a win to date - so it was refreshing to see something a little more tongue-in-cheek make the cut.

Plus, where else are you going to see a songwriter by the name of Fat Max Gsus get a damn Oscar nomination?
