5. A Brand New Truck - Nebraska

Coming as a surprise to no one, the $1 million sweepstake is not a winning ticket. David does, however, generously sell his car at a nearby dealership in exchange for the dream truck that Woody had planned to buy with the money. On the return journey home, David decides that Woody should drive through the small central town within Nebraska, making for one bittersweet and cathartic ending, with Woody living out his fantasy. Woody even tells David to put his head down, as he casually drives through the town feeling like a million bucks - all his enemies and friends look on speechless and stunned. To them, Woody is a millionaire. Outside of being beautifully shot with more movingly eccentric facial expressions from Bruce Dern, this is the absolute perfect ending for Nebraska.
