It's hard to see any surprises here, either in terms of nominees or actual winner. Casey Affleck has swept everything in awards season so far, and his performance in Manchester By The Sea is the clear favourite.

Denzel Washington (Fences) represents his toughest competition, but he'd need a win between now and the Oscars to give him some momentum (at the SAG, for example).

Ryan Gosling is effectively going to be third place, with Andrew Garfield and Viggo Mortensen completing the list, but without a real shot of getting the prize (unless there's a big shock).
