Who Should Win

Remember Me

Remember Me, written by Frozen duo Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez, is a poignant summary for the entirety of Coco itself; a haunting, mournful paean to loved ones who have been lost and how we hold them in our memories long after they've departed. Not only is it a lovely song in its own right, but it's the foundation on which the movie's emotionally devastating climax is built upon.

Who Will Win

Remember Me

Although Pixar's been shockingly overlooked in this category a couple of times - neither Toy Story nor Toy Story 2 won here, somehow - the fact that the studio's offering this year comes from the Oscar-winning team behind Frozen makes it doubly hard to beat. The Greatest Showman does boast La La Land's writing duo, which might boost its own chances, but the song isn't as strong as Remember Me which, aside from being great, is central to the movie's story and themes.
