Coming Soon are reporting that the rejuvenated
Penelope Cruz is to lead a movie shot in Barcelona for
Woody Allen. The movie is currently named
Untitled-Woody Allen Comedy-Drama which is a running joke as every Allen movie is named this way as he likes to chose his titles at the last minute. Little else is known except that Cruz will be speaking both Spanish and English in the picture and it will be Allen's next picture after
Cassandra's Dream (
Colin Farrell,
Ewan McGregor and
Tom Wilkinson) which will be sent to Cannes in hope of finding a distributor. I've said many times I loved
Match Point and there is no director in the world who can make cities look as beautiful and authentic as Woody Allen. The thought of Allen shooting Cruz the way he shot
Scarlett Johansson just gets me so excited. Cruz's post-career since I fell in love with her character from
Vanilla Sky has done nothing for me, although i've yet to see her Oscar nominated role in
