Predicting The Rotten Tomatoes Scores Of 2026's Biggest Movies

11. Supergirl (78%)

James Gunn's Superman wasn't loved by everyone, but it nevertheless landed a solid 83% on the Tomatometer - enough to indicate the Man of Steel was back on firm footing following the mess that was the DC Extended Universe.

It's easy to feel like the upcoming Supergirl movie - starring Milly Alcock, who briefly made her screen debut as the character in Gunn's Superman - will be a breath of fresh air by comparison, given the lack of substantial presence the character has had on the big screen before.

But it's also worth noting that Supergirl is being directed by Craig Gillespie, whose filmography is basically populated with decently received 7/10 movies like Lars and the Real Girl (81%), the Fright Night remake (72%), I Tonya (90%), and Cruella (75%).

The trailer looks decent enough though doesn't invite hugely passionate assessments in any direction, really. It'd be surprising if this one fell below 70%, but at the same time, 90+% would be equally unexpected.
