Predicting The Rotten Tomatoes Scores Of 2026's Biggest Movies
5. Spider-Man: Brand New Day (87%)
Spider-Man is frankly one of the few Marvel Cinematic Universe properties most people still care about that isn't just listlessly dining out on nostalgia, and it helps that the three previous Tom Holland-starring Spidey films scored a stunningly consistent 92%, 91%, and 93% respectively.
Anticipation is high, then for this summer's Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which is being hyped up as a more grounded, street-level superhero film far away from the multiversal shenanigans of No Way Home.
Tantalisingly, it will feature supporting appearances from the likes of Punisher (Jon Bernthal), Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo), Daredevil (Charlie Cox), Scorpion (Michael Mando), and in his MCU debut Tombstone (Marvin Jones III), while Sadie Sink will also appear in a major undisclosed role.
In addition to this, it's being directed by Destin Daniel Cretton (Shang-Chi) and penned by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, who co-wrote the three previous MCU Spider-Man movies, so on paper this basically has everything going for it.
Expect a minor critical decline due to the MCU's general wavering popularity, but it should still go down extremely well with reviewers.
