Predicting How 2017’s Biggest Movies Will End

It's hard to be much enthusiastic about the upcoming soft reboot of The Ring franchise, which will attempt to repackage the iconography of the original movies for the smartphone generation.

It looks set to offer up predictable scares, a laughable script and bad acting if that first trailer is anything to go by, and aside from all this, the major certainty is that it will almost definitely end with an eye-rollingly predictable jump scare that vaguely sets up the next movie in the series.

The horror genre is so well-trained to give audiences one final scare that literally anything else would be the most shocking thing of all (aside from it actually being good, of course).
