5. Dom Visits Brian - Fast & Furious 9

There have been a ton of rumours surrounding the production of Fast and Furious 9, from the hilariously weird - that John Cena's secret character will actually be Dom's (Vin Diesel) brother - to the disappointingly crass.

In the latter case, it was recently reported that Brian O'Conner, the series' central character played by the late Paul Walker, will be re-appearing in the sequel with Walker's brother Cody once again acting as a stand-in (as he did in Furious 7, with the help of CGI).

The immediate fan reaction was understandably divided, many feeling that it was a disrespectful move after giving Brian a dignified farewell in Furious 7, where digital trickery was a far more reasonable solution under the circumstances.

Given how jarring a CGI Brian cameo would be in the middle of Fast 9, it's safe to assume this will be saved for the final scene of the movie or even a post-credits sequence, allowing fans to "catch up" with Brian without it disrupting the core story.

It's all about the execution at the end of the day, but it's also reasonable to be skeptical about this.
