Predicting The Post-Credits Scenes Of Every Major 2017 Comic-Book Movie

3. Becoming An Avenger (Spider-Man: Homecoming)

Spider Man Homecoming 27
Marvel Studios

Release Date: July 7th

A big chunk of the Spider-Man: Homecoming trailer (and probably a big chunk of the film) revolves around Tony Stark and Peter Parker, with the latter seemingly trying to get himself 'officially' inducted into the Avengers.

You can't blame him, really. It'd be every teens dream to gain superpowers and fly alongside Iron Man, but nevertheless, Tony shows some reluctance in this department. He doesn't want Spidey to join the team because he's "not ready yet" and there are "people who handle this sort of thing".

So, from that, we can assume that Homecoming will be about Peter proving himself to Tony, earning his respect, and convincing the billionaire playboy that there's room for another hero among the Avengers' ranks.

We won't see this induction during the film, however. It'll be saved for the post-credits scene, in an almost identical manner to how Nick Fury recruited Tony in that first Iron Man tag. Tony was once the apprentice and he's now the master, passing the torch - how poetic is that?

The Prediction: Peter is at school, frustrated because he still feels he hasn't earned the trust and admiration of Tony, and he still isn't a proper Avenger. He gets called to the principal's office, and reluctantly trudges down.

He opens the door, only to be greeted by a grinning Tony Stark. Peter looks up, confused, yet hopeful. The camera focuses on Tony, who repeats the same line Samuel L. Jackson spoke to him during their first time on-screen together, "I'm here to talk to you about the Avenger Initiative".
