Predicted Critical Consensus: "A disappointing attempt to bring a niche DC superhero to the big screen, Cyborg's solo movie is marred by underwhelming visual effects and a dull plot."
That might sound mean, but it goes without saying that Cyborg was easily the most divisive aspect of the Justice League trailer, largely because the CGI suit just looks so goofy and unconvincing.
Snyder has insisted that the effects will look much sharper in the end product, but it's hard to accept the suit being polished to a degree that will make it look convincing. A 100% CGI superhero costume with a head bobbling on top is almost always a bad idea, so did Warner learn nothing from Green Lantern?
As such, it's easy to be cynical about a solo movie for a character that few really asked for or are that pumped about. Hopefully Ray Fisher's performance in Justice League will convince us otherwise.
