Prey: 8 Easter Eggs You Might Have Missed

1. Raphael Adolini 1715

One of the most memorable scenes in Predator 2 was the mystery of the flintlock pistol. After Mike Harrigan's victory over the City Hunter, the Greyback Predator gave him the weapon as a token of respect, with the words 'Raphael Adolini 1715' inscribed on it.

Adolini's tale was then told in the comic, Predator: 1718, where the character was revealed to have been a pirate. He eventually encounters a young Greyback but is killed at the end of the story. In his dying moments, he gives his flintlock to the hunter while the Predator buries him out of respect.

In Prey, the comic is retconned and instead, Raphael Adolini is a member of the French trappers. Serving as a translator, he is the sole friendly member of the group who later teaches Naru how to use a gun in exchange for some medicine. He entrusts her with his pistol before he is killed by the Predator. At the end of Prey, Naru returns to her village while taking the flintlock as a trophy.

Of course, this leads to the question with regards to how a Predator may have obtained the weapon. But if the mid-credits scene proves anything, Naru's story may be far from over.
