Ranking 10 Most Exciting Upcoming Star Wars Performances

We might not have a title for the solo Han Solo movie yet, but we do have a star confirmed. After seeing nearly 3,000 actors audition for the part including Dave Franco and Logan Lerman, it was officially confirmed last summer by directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller that Hail, Caesar! star Alden Ehrenreich would take the starring role.

While concerns over whether Ehrenreich can do Han Solo and Harrison Ford justice are understandable, fans can rest assured. Lord and Miller have confirmed that the young actor – whose audition included a presumably mandatory screen test with Chewbacca – has the quintessential “charisma and magic swagger” we associate with everybody’s favourite scruffy-looking nerf herder.

Firm details as to the movie’s plot remain patchy, but reports so far confirm it’ll be closer to a space Western in tone and will follow the adventures of Han Solo and his sidekick Chewbacca in the time leading up to the events of Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope and their early interactions with fellow galactic rogue Lando Calrissian.
