Speaking of Lando Calrissian, it was announced that acclaimed actor, writer and musician Donald Glover will be playing the younger version of the avid gambler and Baron Administrator of Cloud City in the upcoming standalone Han Solo film late last year.

Glover, who has recently been on the receiving end of critical acclaim as the creator and star of TV show Atlanta and had a Lando Calrissian action figure when he was a kid, has said that he plays Lando at a time when he’s “still figuring it out a bit” and isn’t quite the epitome of cool he was in The Empire Strikes Back just yet.

It’s not yet known how big a part Glover will take in the movie, but rumours abound that the spinoff might just tell us exactly how Lando Calrissian ended up losing the Millennium Falcon to Han Solo in a game of sabacc all that time ago in a galaxy far, far away.
