Ranking April 2015's Movies From Worst To Best

9. Child 44

RottenTomatoes Score: 25% (4.5/10) Box Office: Made on a $50 million price tag, Child 44 has grossed just $2.9 million after a week at the worldwide box office, making it one of the year's biggest box office duds. Lionsgate have only themselves to blame, though, because the marketing for this thing was absolutely terrible. The Verdict: With talented director Daniel Espinosa (Easy Money, Safe House) at the helm, acclaimed source material and a ridiculously strong cast, Child 44 should have been a slam dunk. Instead, its exhaustingly overlong run-time and lack of narrative focus makes it merely watchable Netflix fodder at best. Plus, some of those accents are pretty terrible, though it's tough to deny that Tom Hardy gives it his all throughout and the film does have some moments of fierce brutality that totally hit the mark.
