Ranking April 2018's Movies From Worst To Best

14. Rampage

RottenTomatoes Score: 51% (5.4/10)

Box Office: Never bet against The Rock. The $120 million blockbuster hasn't pulled Jumanji-sized numbers, but it'll have soon grossed three-fold its budget. Whether that's enough for Warner Bros. to express interest in a sequel remains to be seen, but it'll probably clean up on home video too.

Verdict: Just barely scoring the dubious honour of the world's most critically acclaimed video game movie, Rampage succeeds thanks to Dwayne Johnson and Jeffrey Dean Morgan's entertaining performances, alongside surprisingly sturdy visual effects, insane action and a suitably off-the-wall tone.

It's not clever and doesn't commit to its premise as hard as it could have, but if you want to see The Rock teaming up with a giant gorilla to take down a giant wolf with wings and a giant crocodile, it largely brings home the goods.
