Ranking Every Halloween Film From Worst To Best

10. Halloween 6: The Curse Of Michael Myers (Both Theatrical And Producer's Cuts)

Halloween Kills
Miramax

Easily one of the strangest films in the series, Halloween 6 has proven itself to be divisive since its release back in 1995. Continuing on the ill-fated Thorn storyline from the previous two entries, this film went overboard on the lore and alienated many long-time fans in the process.

Basically, this film explains that Michael does what he does due to the Curse of Thorn, a Celtic legend that states that those affected must murder their entire bloodline. An interesting premise for sure, but one that has no place in the Halloween canon as it completely destroys the mystique behind Michael Myers as a character, turning him into a simple pawn for a larger evil.

A notoriously troubled production that eventually culminated in two entirely different cuts, Halloween 6 is one the franchise's more interesting instalments, but sadly intrigue doesn't ensure quality, and Halloween 6 is a frightful mess that very nearly destroyed the series for good.

Sure, this one has its defenders, but for our money, it's too all over the place with its story, direction and style. There's some fun to be had, and this film's version of Michael is pretty on-point, but everything else just doesn't work.
