7. Run All Night
RottenTomatoes Score: 60% (5.6/10 average) Box Office: Budgeted at $50 million (that's slightly more expensive than Liam Neeson's Taken 3), Run All Night has failed to capture the same rapturous results as not just the Taken films, but also the star's recent thrillers Unknown ($136.1 million) and Non-Stop ($222.8 million), pulling in just $36.4 million after two weeks on release. As such, it's a rare starring Liam Neeson effort these days that's weak sauce at the box office. Are audiences finally worn out with this trend of geriatric thrillers? The Verdict: Easily one of the actor's better action-thriller efforts to date, Run All Night might not have lit up the box office, but it's much smarter and more character-driven than any of the aforementioned movies, giving Neeson a fine cast to act alongside, specifically Joel Kinnaman as his son and Ed Harris as the quasi-antagonist of the piece. That's what's so entertaining about the movie, though: it's morally ambiguous and nobody's completely good or bad, while director Jaume Collet-Serra keeps the well-filmed action coming thick and fast. Much like Neeson's recent A Walk Among the Tombstones, it has plenty of potential to become a cult classic a few years down the line.
